Please let me know what is recap and fixture note.

It is too short to understand the true meaning of the words. Can you show me the full article please.

It is a chartering documents. When our ships are hired, the chartering dept issue the recap and fixture note. I don't know what it is.

When Owner and Charterer fix the biz, the Recap will be drawn for record what both parties have confirmed before making the formal Charter Party.

In some cases, the biz is small or simple and no need to waste time to make a formal Charter Party, both parties will use fixture note for contract evidence.

PS. Charter Party is non-documentary contract, If either party can prove other party confirm the biz in any form, the contract is done.
