Wartsila sees profit down

Wartsila has posted lower net earnings in the first half of 2012, with profit standing at EUR 143m ($175m), compared to EUR 149m in 2011.

Revenue fell to EUR 2.1bn, against EUR 2.11bn the year before, while the order intake increased 7% to EUR 2.3bn in the second quarter.

But it is still forecasting operating profit to rise by up to 11% in 2012.
